1954 Mercury Monterey 2 door coupe SOLD!
This is a very rare find. The car is an older restoration (approx 12-15 years ago) and was done to a very high standard. Originally a 2-tone beige/brown combo, this classic Mercury is now in the classic hot-rod colours of scarlet red and deep gloss black. The chrome wheels set the car off nicely, but the car also comes with the original steel rims complete with wide-white-wall tyres. The newer wheels not only look good, but also vastly improve ride and handling. The original 256 v8 and 2 speed Merc-O-Matic tranny are in good order and all gauges function. The car has good glass and chrome all round and is in much better condition than would be expected for a 52 year old car. All window/door/trim rubbers were replaced during the restoration and are supple. Normally these are brittle and would take many hours and £'s to replace.
