It really drives very well for a 41 year old car. Loads of power and a great sound from the new custom exhaust system. This is a car that will get you noticed at a show or on the street. The Olds Delta 88 2 door hardtop was produced in very limited numbers compared to other similar GM products in 1965. Oldsmobile built 90,467 Delta 88's in '65. Of these only 23,194 were Hardtop Coupe models. This car is a very close relation to the 1965 Chevy Impala, of which total production of V8 cars was over 746,000. This is a rare car! Wheras a Chevy Impala came equipped as standard with a variety of small block V8's and big block V8's up to the legendary 409 & 427, the big-block 425 Rocket engine was the base engine in the Olds. This beauty produced 310hp in standard 2 barrel trim and this car has been modified with a 4 barrel Edelbrock intake and carb to liberate those extra horses. The engine has also been treated to a new set of lifters and pushrods as well as new distrubutor and fuel pump. This car has had more money spent on it by the previous owners than the price we are asking, so go ahead - grab yourself a bargain!
