We can supply any new or nearly new vehicle currently available in the USA.  We offer the full range of options available from all the manufacturers and are extremely knowledgeable about exactly what is available.

I have bought a car or truck already and it's in the USA can you help?

Yes.  This will not be a problem.  All we need from you to prepare an accurate quote is the Zip Code where the vehicle is located, a brief description of the vehicle and also the value that is to be declared to customs.  Please also tell us of any special requirements such as container shipping.  Please note that any car that is a non-runner, or that has a brake problem will need to be containerised.  It is important that we know this from the start.

I am looking for an older vehicle for the USA.  Can Hurricane Imports help me?

We will carry a limited stock of classic vehicles.  What we buy in depends on what is available at the time.  Please bookmark our site and come back and check on a regular basis.  Our stock will change every couple of weeks.  If you have found a classic car or restoration project, then why not have us ship it for you? (see above).  

Will an American vehicle be expensive to run?

Running any vehicle these days is expensive.  The initial outlay will probably be very comparative to a similar UK spec vehicle, and many of the bigger engines may surprise you by being far more economical than you might think.  Many of the engines are capable of 20+ mpg, which for an engine of over 4 or 5 litres is very impressive.  

This is due to the advanced technology with which these engines are constructed.  For those who want to be even more frugal, most engines can easily be converted to run on LPG, which is now widely available and costs half the price of regular unleaded.  Add all this to stable residual (resale) prices and all of a sudden American cars and trucks seem to make more and more sense.

Will the vehicle be road legal when I get it?

Yes, absolutely.  All duties paid and fully SVA'd and taxed.  In short, all you need to do is pay for it and get yourself insured.  All work carried out on our vehicles is done to the highest possible standard and all vehicles receive a full valet before the customer takes delivery.

Where will by vehicle be stored during the registration process?

We have a secure dry storage facility near to our offices where your vehicle will be safe.  All vehicles are fully insured from the moment they are picked up from the seller/dealer in the USA.

Will I be able to reclaim VAT on a pick-up truck?  

Not necessarily, although it will be possible in many cases depending on your circumstances and the type of truck. Please call us as we are well placed to give advice in this field - our sales director is also a qualified accountant. It's certainly worth getting the right advice before you buy.  Any mistakes could be very costly!
